We are home!

May 3rd, 2007

Hey Y’all,

You probably noticed that we have ceased our updates for the past bit.  That is because we have been busy trying to get home and settled in.  We are both in Montana now trying to figure out the next steps in life.

Update on Baby:

She will arrive in Seattle on the beginning of June, and will be back on the road on July 25th for the Keen Hybrid Peddle.  http://www.keenfootwear.com/hybridpedal.cfm

Update on OWP:  The journey is far from over.
There is a new website for Biofuels Education Coalition in the works, and a flash site that will compile all of our great stories.  Keen and KAVU have merged forces for the summer Outdoor Retailer for a grand party on Friday, August 10th and we will be premiering the first Oil and Water Project footage shown to the public in “KAVU Day.”

The next North American Tour conducted by Biofuels Education Coalition will be in the Spring of 2008 dubbed as “The Algae Experiment.”  For sponsorship or general information, contact Seth Warren or stay tuned.

Please register on this site with your contact email (it won’t be given to anyone else but us) and we will be sending updates of up and coming events etc.

Heading Back Home

April 12th, 2007

So, after relaxing for a week in Ushuaia we set out the other day and made the journey through the last dirt roads Baby will see on this trip.  We arrived in Porvenir and ferried over the Straight of Magellan to Punta Renas. We are leaving Puerto Natales today on the ferry to Puerto Montt. A special thanks to the Navimag Ferry company for sponsoring us and our little baby with first class accomodations for the 4 day boat ride North. We will arrive in Santiago next week, put Baby in a box and send her home! Tyler and I will follow by air on April 25th.

Interested in seeing some of our latest main stream features:
If you haven´t heard of Reuters..it is one of the biggest news distribution
companies in the world. They flew in a writer, photog and cameraman to join
us for the last 24kms of our journey south. It has been syndicated to over

This ABC news interview that I did definitely didn´t hurt! It has prompted
a lot of attention in N. America including an invite to appear on the Ellen

The Party is Tonight!

March 30th, 2007

We had an amazing arrival party here in Ushuaia at the KÙAR restaurant and bar.

A special thanks to Pat, Hannan and Matias for helping us to put it on.  Red Bull Athlete Pat Camblin facilitated the party and all of our accomodations  here in Ushuaia.

We had a sweet slideshow in a great atmosphere overlooking the ocean.

The night went huge until 5am!

Done Deal.

March 29th, 2007

We made it to our final destination and have officially completed the entire Pan-American Highway without a single drop of petroleum. Watch for our final photos, updates, insights, stats, etc. following the weekends festivities. We will be having our arrival parties over the next two nights. If you have come to meet us down here in Ushuaia…please stay posted as to where you can find us, we will have an update tonight or tomorrow.

The Last Leg

March 26th, 2007

The last part of the drive has been a lot different then we expected. The Tierra Del Fuego (land of fire) is more of a big flat plain stretching out from the Jagged Mountains of the Patagonia.

drive10.jpg

We had an all star crew. Pat Camblin was our honorary member for the last jaunt south.

drive8.jpg

We met Jen and Lucy at our hostel in Bariloche. We all made a great connection, and they decided to join us on our last road trip. It made for a super well rounded team!

drive7.jpg

The humor was flowing even faster then the wine. The five of us laughed ourselves through the last breakdowns and kilometers of our voyage south!

drive3.jpg

The girls always stayed positive and provided great entertainment each time we were stuck on the side of the road monkey wrenching on the truck.

Here foxy foxy,

The end was no different…the rig is still drawing in a lot of attention.
